*introducing a superrrrrr late post!!!*
9th of February, my friend Bianca and I's itchy feet brought us to the City of Smiles -- Bacolod City! Tagging along with us was Ralph who served as our guide and bodyguard (haha >:P). Planning just the day before, we didn't expect it would turn out to be an epic adventure (or should I say an amazing race). Our plan was just to spend the Saturday there and go home late afternoon. But suddenly, my Mom called me up to do something for her. It required time so we HAD TO stay overnight to get it done. With eyes wide open, we were up to the challenge! The challenge to do a very hard task for my Mom (which required a whole lot of traveling and searching), to find a place to stay in, and to figure out how we could survive with no other stuff for an overnight stay! Soooooo, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! >:)
First thing, we started out with the task by renting a tricycle for convenience since we had to jump from one place to another. It was quite hard with the searching part, so we gave up quickly since we still did not have a place to stay for the night and it was getting late anyway. We walked around in hopes of an available room with cheap rates, and luckily we found a pension house that's good enough to stay in and cheap too! After settling in, we went grocery shopping for necessities plus extra clothes.
It was also a good timing since the city celebrated their Bacolaodiat 2013 (a city celebration for Chinese New Year) and it was a whooole lot of fun! We walked the streets of Lacson under the rain! And ate in the streets. Wish we could have more trips like that! >:)
